ARCHITECTURAL SURVEY

An architectural survey is also an expanded version of an as-built survey that is instrumental for architects, engineers and other design professionals.  It is usually used as part of a feasibility study for future projects. This survey includes the usual structures within an as-built survey, ground topography within the property and along the adjoining sidewalks, and utilities mapping both above and underground.  The mapped utilities are derived from the maps compiled by the local governmental agencies and have to be corroborated by the specific utility company. Supplementary included in the map are physical items along the sidewalks located within the immediate proximity to the job site.  Some of these readily visible items are fire hydrants, utility valves, utility wires, parking signs, street signs, utility meters, sewer lines, water lines, catch basins and manholes.
