AVERAGE FRONT YARD SETBACK

In certain jurisdictions planning to build fixed structures in the front yard, a new house and/or an additional 2nd story will be governed by codified front yard restrictions.  Front yard setbacks are regulated in order to preserve the character of the neighborhood and assure structural cohesiveness within the vicinity. Frontage statutory restrictions rely on the front yard setback of the neighboring properties within a given radius set by the local regulator.  The average of the measured front yard setbacks from the neighboring properties is then compared to the proposed structures to be built.  With using this type of survey the permitting office of the local government will either grant or deny your proposed construction plans.
